Today it is mostly used by police and armed forces for the purpose of public safety in various parts of the world. The walkie talkies are also used at various events where a large number of people are spread at large areas and they need to be constantly in touch. The walkie talkies are generally used in areas where portable radio communication is possible. The walkie talkies are available in the market at various prices. They are available as simple analog units that can be used for simple purposes while there are also some strong analog or digital units that are used by heavy industries.
